Use of Portable Electronic Devises Now Allowed On Aircraft |
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced today it will allow airlines to expand travelers’ use of portable electronic devises during all phases of flight. Each airline will allow this ability independently because of differences among fleet and operations. Delta Air Lines has announced it will allow use of e-readers, tablets and smartphones (all in airplane mode) during taxi, takeoff and landing on domestic flights as early as November 1, 2013. In-flight Wi-Fi will continue to be available above 10,000 feet. For more information, please see the following articles: |
