JetBlue this fall is updating its food and beverage options in both economy and premium cabins, as well as amenity offerings. The new offerings include a seasonal build-your-own dining menu and a Strawberry Mule beverage that can be served with liquor or as a mocktail.

As people age, signals from the brain’s central circadian clock to the organs’ peripheral clocks weaken, making it more difficult to recover from long-distance travel across time zones, but eating a single large meal early in the morning after travel can ease recovery from jetlag, according to a study in the journal Chaos. Researchers created computer models integrating central and peripheral circadian clocks, then analyzed the effect of cues such as food consumption and light exposure.

Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport opened half of its new baggage claim area in time for the busy Labor Day weekend and more upgrades are in progress for the Kentucky airport. “We built the largest geothermal wellfield in existence at an airport” and are “upgrading all of our mechanical and electrical infrastructure to meet with that geothermal field,” said spokeswoman Megan Atkins Thoben.

Houston’s Hobby Airport is planning a $470 million expansion that will add seven gates to its West Concourse. The renovations, which will take about two years, also include an expanded baggage claim area.

Following an eight-year renovation, the former war office of Sir Winston Churchill during World War II has been transformed into a luxury hotel that will open later this month in London. The hotel, which will be the first Raffles property in the city, features 120 rooms and suites, including a two-bedroom suite that once served as Churchill’s Army Council Room, as well as a Grand Staircase, 600-person ballroom and 85 residences.
