Longer Than Normal TSA Security Lines

Many major U.S. airports are experiencing longer than normal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) wait times due to the government shutdown.  Reports are inconsistent about the wait times as TSA is claiming 99.8% of travelers are through screening in under 30 minutes, and 90.1% in under 15 minutes. 

This contradicts traveler reports stating some major airports are taking over an hour to complete the screening process.If you are traveling before the government shutdown is resolved, we suggest monitoring the airport TSA wait times using the TSA App or looking at individual airport websites.
