Update to Delta Air Lines Same-Day Confirmed Changes |

Delta Air Lines announced on September 5, 2013 they are updating the rules / restrictions for travelers wanting to make same-day changes. Travelers may request a change up to 24 hours before the original flight departure time, rather than only on the day of departure. However, the new departure time must still be on the same day as the originally-scheduled departure. The most restrictive component of the same day confirmed change is the fare must be rebooked in the same fare class as the original flight – thus all discounted, advance-purchase fares MAY NOT be eligible for same day confirmation changes. The same-day change fee remains at $50 USD, and is waived for Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion members. The same-day confirmed program and the same-day standby program are subject to the rules in effect on the date of travel, regardless of the date of ticket purchase.
