US Airlines Offer 6% More Domestic Seats This Summer (Source: TravelPulse)
US airlines have scheduled about 6 percent more domestic flight seats this summer than in July 2023, Cirium reports, to accommodate record travel demand.

Delta CEO Touts Operations In Second Quarter (Source: X/CNBC Squawk Box)
Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian applauded his airline’s operations over the past few months in an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box today. “Our team did an amazing job, kudos to them,” Bastian said. “Stellar performance across the board. Best reliability in the industry, month in and month out, as we’re doing all year long.”

Delta Partners With Riyadh Air (Source: Reuters)
Delta Air Lines has announced a partnership with Riyadh Air, which is building a potential network in advance of beginning operations next year, giving Saudi Arabia a second airline. The airlines plan to code share, allowing passengers to book seamless travel on both carriers. Delta said it eventually intends to fly to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

NYC Airport Tests Self-Driving Parking Shuttles (Source: Gothamist )
New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has started testing two autonomous shuttles in its Parking Lot 9. New Zealand-based OhmioShuttle owns the shuttles, which seat eight people, and drivers will serve as safety attendants aboard the vehicles.

Hotels

Chicago’s Kimpton Hotel Monaco Rebrands As L7 Chicago (Source: MeetingsNet )
A 1912 building in the Chicago Loop that once served as a hat factory is now the first L7 hotel in North America.  L7 Chicago opened in June, the first L7-branded property in North America from South Korea-based Lotte Hotels & Resorts.  A Kimpton property for nearly 25 years, the 191-room, 14-story hotel at 225 N. Wabash Ave. is close to the Chicago Riverwalk.

Hyatt Acquires German Brand Me And All Hotels (Source: Travel Weekly )
Hyatt Hotels Corp. has acquired Me and All Hotels from German company Lindner Hotels for an undisclosed sum.  The upscale lifestyle brand, launched by Lindner in 2016, has six hotels in German cities Dusseldorf, Hannover, Kiel, Mainz and Ulm.
