Delta Air Lines began adding its free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles loyalty members on Viasat-equipped flights between the United States and each Paris and Nice in France, the carrier announced.  The service on additional international flights will roll out on an ongoing basis.

Report: TSA Won’t Drop Liquid Rule Anytime Soon (Source: Travel Market Report)
It could take more than a decade for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to eventually drop its liquid rule.  According to a report in T+L, the TSA will not axe the 3-1-1 liquid rule, which essentially prevents travelers from bringing any liquids of more than 3.4 ounces through airport security, until at least 2040 because of the volume of scanners that the agency would have to replace.

Atlanta Airport Uses AI To Transform Operations (Source: CIO)
Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) is using machine learning and generative AI to transform data analysis for operations ranging from weather response to parking capacity. “It’s a big win for us — being able to look at all of our data in one repository and build machine learning models off of that,” said Jon Pruitt, the airport’s director of IT.

3rd Phase Of Tampa Airport Upgrade Set To Begin This Year (Source: Airport Technology)
Florida’s Hillsborough County Airport Authority (HCAA) plans to begin the third and final phase of construction this year in its $2.5 billion master plan at Tampa International Airport (TPA). This growth phase will include a new 16-gate Airside D terminal spanning 563,000 square feet, offering concessions, a terrace and new customs, screening, check-in and baggage facilities.

Having lived in Chicago for two years, I’ve experienced the Hoxton on multiple occasions — from nights out with my girlfriends at Cabra and Lazy Bird to dining at Cira and, most recently, as an overnight guest of the hotel to write this review.  Plus, as an active gal getting her daily steps in, I often walk by the Hoxton when passing through the West Loop on the corner of Green and Lake streets.

Kimpton’s First Orlando Hotel Is Under Development (Source: Travel Weekly)
A Kimpton hotel is coming to Orlando. Slated to open in 2027, the Kimpton Orlando will be located adjacent to the Kia Center, home of the Orlando Magic pro basketball team.  The 261-room hotel will be part of a new Westcourt development that will include 300,000 square feet of office space, 120,000 square feet of space for dining and entertainment, plus 1.5 acres of outdoor common areas. There will be a 3,500-person venue for live events.
