Spirit Airlines Ceases Operations

The ultralow-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has halted operations amid financial problems and high fuel costs.  The airline failed to secure the critical $500 million funding bailout from the federal government.  Spirit said it will begin processing refunds for upcoming flights directly to traveller’s credit cards.

Other U.S. airlines are offering “capped” and / or reduced fares to Spirit Airline passengers over the next several days.  Travelers with upcoming trips should contact Travel One for alternate options or assistance in obtaining a refund.
