Delta To Launch Seven New Summer Transatlantic Routes (Source: Business Travel News)
Delta plans a “record” summer 2025 transatlantic expansion with seven new routes and additional service to existing destinations, the carrier announced. Several of the new routes, which are planned to launch in May 2025, include locales in Italy.

Delta, SAS Sign Codeshare Agreement (Source: Business Travel News)
Delta Air Lines and SAS, the flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden, have signed a codeshare agreement to take effect Sept. 25, SAS announced Monday. The agreements come as a result of SAS joining SkyTeam on Sept. 1, according to the carrier.

IRS Posts New Per Diem Tax Deduction Rates For Business Travel (Source: CPA Practitioner)
Each year the IRS (U.S. Internal Revenue Service) announces special per diem rates used to calculate tax deductions for business travel expenses will be $319 for travel to high-cost locations and $225 for travel to low-cost areas, the IRS said on Friday.

County officials are considering a plan to expand Terminal 1 at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and better connect it to Terminal 3. The plan would increase the number of gates in Terminal 1 from 39 to 65.

It’s been a busy and expensive year for travel, with record-breaking crowds and rising prices across the board. But according to a new report from J.D. Power, that hasn’t stopped travelers from enjoying the journey — especially if they’re traveling through some of the country’s best airports.

Simone Biles Will Open A Restaurant At Houston Airport (Source: Eater)
Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is adding restaurateur to her running list of accolades.  Biles, a Spring native, will open a Tex-Mex restaurant in her hometown airport — George Bush Intercontinental Airport, also known as IAH — in early 2025, according to an airport release. The restaurant, Taste of Gold, will “feature vibrant, bold flavors of world-class and elevated Tex-Mex cuisine” and is a celebration and obvious nod to Biles’ medal-winning record. Currently under construction, the Olympian’s restaurant will be located inside IAH’s Terminal A near Gate A8.

St. Regis New York, the very-first St. Regis hotel and iconic Manhattan meeting place, has unveiled major renovations of its public spaces.  The global flagship property, part of Marriott International, celebrates 120 years this fall with fresh updates to the lobby and King Cole Bar, plus the addition of two new restaurants.

Orlando Resort Gets A $25 Million Upgrade (Source: MeetingsNet)
Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa announced the completion of a $25 million renovation that updated the lobby, refreshed all 394 guest rooms and the spa, and added a 5,000-square-foot outdoor terrace that can be used for special events.  In addition to the new terrace, groups will find 20,000 square feet of indoor meeting space. The highlights are the 10,182-square-foot Grand Ballroom, divisible by five, and the 3,900-square-foot majestic ballroom, divisible by three.

Set between the international airport and the Intracoastal Waterway, the Delta Hotels West Palm Beach has more than 6,000 square feet of indoor meeting space.  Delta Hotels by Marriott has broken into the South Florida market with the opening this week of the 199-room Delta Hotels West Palm Beach.
