Hilton Follows Suit and Introduces 48 Hour Cancellation Policy

Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced today it will increase the minimum standard cancellation deadline from 24 to 48 hours for reservations made on/after July 31, 2017 for properties in the United States (including Puerto Rico) and Canada.  If a booking isn’t cancelled prior to this time, travelers will be charged a fee equal to one night room rate, plus any taxes and fees.

Limited exceptions will be made at the hotel’s discretion.  Additionally, contracted corporate rates with their own cancellation policy will not see a change in 2017.  However, changes to the corporate agreements could be seen in the 2018 pricing season.  Group cancellation policies are based on the group reservation contract.
