Electronics Ban on Flights Coming From Some Middle East / Africa Countries

The United States and the United Kingdom have issued a ban on electronics larger than a cell phone from carry-on luggage brought into the aircraft.  Banned devices include laptops, cameras, gaming devices, and tablets (such as iPads).  Medical devices required during the flight are still allowed in the main cabin after passing through security screening.

The affected airlines are: British Airways, EasyJet, Jet2.com, Monarch, Thomas Cook, Thomson, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airways, Atlas-Global Airlines, Middle East Airlines, Egyptair, Royal Jordanian, Tunis Air and Saudia.

The 10 airports covered by the U.S. ban are: Cairo, Egypt; Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Istanbul; Doha, Qatar; Amman, Jordan; Kuwait City; Casablanca, Morocco; and Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
