American Airlines Matches Delta And United In Raising Baggage Fees

American Airlines will match its main competitors, Delta and United, and increase their checked baggage fees.  First-checked bags will be $30; second-checked bags will increase to $40 – increasing the previous fees by $5.00 each.

Each carrier’s baggage policy is slightly different and varies by region (i.e., US, Mexico, Canada, Central America, etc.) – please refer to each carrier’s website for details, or call your Travel One Agent.

Complimentary first and/or second checked bags will still apply for passengers with preferred AAdvantage status or hold the airlines preferred credit card.
